Work lights on 4300 tractor

Anybody install worklights option (PN# BM19291) on there 4300 tractor. How much did it cost ? any other parts needed (wire, fuses & hardware)?

I installed the front and rear work light kits on my 4310 this past winter. Kit includes all you need. Light bolts on the Rops and the wire goes down through the Rops and connects to a lead under the seat. There is a lead on each side of the seat. The front kit included a wire splice since the rear lights were using the plug in lead. Instead of splicing I made a Y splitter so I could just plug in both kits and not have to splice.

The front kit was $50 dollars. Each rear light was $38. Seems a bit much. I looked for other lights and didn't find what I was looking for so I bought them.

When I turn on the regular lights they all come on. I plan to mount two switches so I can control the aux front and rear lights as needed.

What is the part number for the front worklights???? They mount to brush guard??? two worklights ????

When I picked up the kits and looked at the lights I felt like I paid a bit much for them but... I'm not sure if you can take them apart to replace bulbs or not. Going to explore that.

There is wiring in place for these aux lights but wish there where switches in place or included to control these separate from the main lights. O well.

The generic ones I have use seal-beam lamps. Two screws on the front removes a mounting bracket and the whole seal-beam pulls out of a socket at the rear of the housing. My generic ones do have their own weatherproof switches but the mounts wouldn't be near as good as a factory accessory.

Switches would be good. If everything is on one circuit and the lighting load is three 55W work lights plus two 35W headlights and a taillight, the load would come close to 20A. If the circuit has a 20A fuse it might occasionally blow--an aggravation more than a problem but I'd keep some spare fuses around. In my case, the flashers don't work unless the headlights are on so I'd have to add the flasher lamps to the load. Maybe the work-lights are 35Wers.

The full lighting load also might extend battery recharge times--depending on the alternator rating. Use of a trickle charger to keep the battery topped up might be good if the tractor is is used for short periods when running the lights.
